Members of BJC, led by Karl Brown the Chair of Education and Skills, visited Bristol Grammar School on 23rd April to carry out mock-interviews for Sixth Formers looking to take their next steps into Higher Education and employment. Members are given a briefing beforehand and written statements from the pupils give a background of their interests and aspirations. A very worthwhile evening.
” Dear Bristol Junior Chamber, I think we got through about 90 or so this year – impressive!! Thank you so much to you and your team! These evenings have a much greater effect than just the immediate so I really believe it is something so worthwhile that the Chamber does. This kind of contribution to the development of young people is hard to quantify but I can tell you that it is hugely valuable!
Many thanks to all and I look forward to working with you again next year.
Kind regards
Melanie Guy, Careers Adviser/Dep. Head of Sixth Form
